IT support specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Customer service and front line for all customer needs
  • Respond to all issues (hardware and software), prioritize as necessary and resolve.
  • Document calls and procedures, work/time involved and resolution
  • Work ongoing customer projects and communication.
  • Maintain office, workspace and inventory levels
  • Other as assigned


Skills and knowledge desired:

  • Experience with routers and firewalls
  • Experience with Remote Desktop Services
  • Technical troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Good interpersonal and customer care skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems (MAC and Linux would also be nice)
  • Familiar with Active directory, Exchange, Azure, Office 365, AWS etc.
  • Familiar with virtualization and assorted products
  • Strong understanding of networking and experience with network devices
  • Basic understanding of PC/computer hardware set-up and configuration.


Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation and Valid driver's license. Ability to travel and service customer on-site is a must. Travel between company offices will also be required.
  • At least a high school degree (prefer some college)
  • Flexibility in scheduling and number of hours worked per week.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and ensure complete resolution
  • Articulate technical information and convey to non-technical people
  • Attention to detail while performing technically detailed tasks
  • Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations
  • Self-motivation and ability to learn new skills quickly



The ability to work independently, be organized and self motivated will serve you well in this position. While there is plenty of support and expertise to draw from in the beginning, you will eventually be expected to operate with little supervision. This is an excellent opportunity to enter the IT career path or grow your existing experience. This could be a stepping stone or you could grow this into something much bigger, it's up to you. Certainly, you will experience multiple hands on challenges from a wide variety of technical fields and platforms.

Pay band starts at $17/hour but will commensurate with experience.


This position is a direct hire. No need for outsource or 3rd party employment services to contact us about this position.
